- There is a tough, but useful idea when we find we are in the business of collecting problems. The idea is that the current group of problems may actually serve as our practice or meditation. It's not the most comfortable idea and often feels brusque or insulting when we're hurting.
However...you might want to take a problem you're currently having and consider it...
Maybe, just maybe, I could treat my current anger or depression or grief or sadness (with all the details, whys and wherefores) as my current meditation--after all, it's right in my face anyway!
So I could sit WITH the problem as I would if I were meditating and WATCH it. I could take the position of observer and non-interference. Being with the problem...just noticing.
And...when I have the courage to not resist this idea I find it only takes a few minutes (3 or 5 or 10 minutes only--really!) to unhook, unlatch and undo the binding of the problem.
Try it for yourself on your current problem and let me know how you do. If you want even more help check out all the FREE resources on my website.
