She helped me beyond what I can express during the years we worked together and for many years after. She saw in me what I couldn't quite see in myself. I saw in her the powerful, artistic, loving, graceful, creative human being she was.
During a long brain injury recovery that she managed herself, she took on many doctors and organizations with amazing precision, courage & power.
During the time of cancer she was amazingly present, courageous & strong.
We laughed--a lot. We laughed during work, laughed as she cheffed brilliantly, baked with panache, made amazing artwork of every kind and tore down the arrogant with precision. Laughter fills all my memories with her--even the last few weeks & days.
Together we joined in prayers & "woo-woo" to help others and we were very effective as a team. I miss that. I still lean into her energy as I do my work today with clients & groups.
This morning I leaned on her Spirit (as I often do!) to ask for help to focus on what the next evolution in my energetic work needed to be to help folks more deeply & easily. I got the first few hints, I'm happy to say.
Why tell you about my friend Kathryn?
Because we all have at least one like her in our lives. To encourage you to call them, hug them, thank them and to laugh with them. They will go, as will you...as will I. But between those times my prayer is that you have as many good laugh-filled memories as I do with her.
Happy Birthday, Kathryn, I love you.
Much love,
Rudy
