You can do what you like to begin the New Year in whatever way serves you best.
If you ALWAYS make resolutions and abandon them by February you might want to reconsider doing the same thing again...and expecting a different result.

Here is a simple, cost-free, deeply-strengthening way to begin the year if you'd
like to consider it. It's VERY powerful and will help make changes for you with
great grace, charm and gentleness. Those changes get activated across every single area of your lived life. Not bad, right?
31 Day Mental Cleanse
[The Totally-Forgiving Kind No One But Rudy Ever Taught You!]
Get a notebook and label the first 31 pages #1 through #31 for the days of January.
Draw a horizontal line on each page dividing it in half.
This is your total preparation [Phew!].
Each morning and each evening of every successive day in January
you'll do this simple thing which takes only a very few minutes:
Pick something to work on. Grade it 0 to 10 in annoyance/severity.
[Don't skip grading numerically and don't do halfsies...0, 1, 2,...and so on
up to 10 is our scale]. Zero or one is no problem. Ten is screaming, thrashing horribleness of the highest order. You get the picture.
So, for example: Day one's topic might be THE GUILD I STILL FEEL ABOUT XYZ FROM 10 YEARS AGO and it's graded that day as a 7/10.
Put this info above the line in your notebook on day #1.
This is your PRE or START rating.
Next use one of the tools listed below. Each is a different length of time.
Just pick one and do it...all of it without skipping through.
As soon as you're done re-rate THE SAME ISSUE YOU BEGAN WITH.
Jot down your "POST NUMBER" also above the line on page #1.
So you have a PRE and POST number out of 10 in the morning section of day #1.
You'll repeat the same process for the evening [below your line] on the day #1 page.
Each day completes a tidy page of personal processing for you.
At the END of the month, not as you go through it, take some time and scan your 31 page notebook and see what kinds of numerical reductions you've had. These are your successes. Also notice what topics seemed gnarlier for you than others.
It's fascinating! Why so? Cuz it's all about YOU!
Some Random Answers Before You Ask:
The notebook must remain private and do not share any info in it...unless you want a #ShitStorm in your life. This is for YOU and no one else.
You can use any notebook.
You MUST write things down to be able to track your progress--you will NOT remember or see what you need to when you're in it.
You cannot work on the same issue more than 4 times in the month. If you do you'll make things WORSE--not better.
You must work on a variety of parts of your life and not fixate on "your big issue".
You can organize your pages/numbering differently; I have just given you
the easiest way to track things.
You may do this work any time in the morning and evening...do not do them back to back at 11:45 am and 12:15 pm...get in the spirit of attending to yourself properly at the start and end of your days for the month. When I do this [yes, I do this very program several times each year - surprise! - I do my morning over coffee and my evening sometime before winding down for the day. You decide for yourself.
You do not have to "do what Rudy says"...but the benefits you'll gain doing this
