Think about filling a bottle from a tap. You line up the mouth of the bottle under the tap and turn the tap on. The bottle fills more or less with some spillage. Normal.
What if the bottle's neck is small and the force from the tap is strong. Messy, right? And it takes much more water to fill because of the spillage.
What if the tap only drips a drop at a time? Takes forever and a day.
Are you starting to see the parallels? The questions is how do we most-efficiently line up the water to get it in the bottle successfully? Do we, as healers, know a few things that make it MUCH easier? We do. I'll teach you a few of the big ones that make the biggest difference right now.
First insight that's hard to see: What you believe might as well be real. Beliefs are real.
Second insight that's hard to see: Beliefs persist over time unless you deconstruct & reconstruct them.
Third insight that's hard to see: Some beliefs bring ease & joy while others bring endless suffering.
Fourth insight that's hard to see: Change is SO scary we'd rather hold onto our beliefs that suffer us.
Fifth insight that's hard to see: We believe life/the world should be molded in our image; when it's not we suffer.
That's enough for now. Why are they so hard to see? Check yourself. Pick a relative or friend you KNOW has to change and how they should change...easy to notice, right? Now how about you? Pick a big problem area of your life and notice you go "blind" to why it's in your life. Interesting (and sometimes very uncomfortable) to notice the difference. Why are "their" beliefs so easy to see and "yours" are not. They are just beliefs.
In future lessons I'll teach you about some of my favorite phenomena: How starting to unlatch beliefs and buried emotions changes EVERYTHING with ease, simplicity & grace. Also, the opposite, when those beliefs & stashed emotions DON'T get attended to what is IMPOSSIBLE in healing. It's fascinating stuff and will make you a remarkable healer. Until the next time...why not list some of your favorite beliefs?
